This assignment has two parts:
Conduct research to locate sample job announcements in the sports domain from a variety of sources (NCAA.org, Nike.com, or any universityâ€™s human resource site). Consider the following as you research the job announcements:
What are the positives of the organizationâ€™s advertisement?
What could the organization do to improve?
Does the organization hit its target market?
Is it specific in its efforts to attract that marketâ€™s attention?
Does the organization use the AIDA guidelines?
Does the organization adhere to employment laws?
For this task, construct your own job announcement for the Director of Sports Marketing at Hillside College. Use the guidelines from your textbook to create an effective job advertisement: AIDA (attention, interest, desire, action).
After creating the announcement, name five specific sites you will use to promote your open position.
Next, generate 12 sample interview questions, three from each of the four categories found on page 170 of your text.
- Organization and Planning Skills
- Interaction and Leadership
- Assertiveness and Motivation
- Decision Making and Problem Solving
Make sure they are detailed and specific to the Director of Marketing position at Hillside College. They should be unique and should not be the same questions found on page 170.
Length: 3 pages: 1 page for the job announcement; 1 page for the interview questions; and 1 page explaining important areas to consider when designing both.
