Your company’s Vice President of Human Resources has approached your team for assistance in recruiting and developing your organization’s future leaders. Sixty percent of your company consists of millennials, and your team has been charged with how to successfully increase the number of millennials as leaders in your organization. At this time, senior management is reluctant and uninformed as to how they should promote millennials as leaders. This first step is to create a plan.
1. Provide a summary of 125-150 words regarding best practices/plan.
2. Write a 5-sentence intro explaining why it is important to present factual information to senior management and how your team will go about presenting it.
3. Examine the best practices that your team can cultivate to enhance the number of millennial leaders.
Cite a minimum of two references other than the text.

According to an article online by Organimi CITATION 6Le19 \l 1033 (6 Leadership Training Tips To Find and Cultivate Leaders Internally, 2019), here are some great practices that we team can use to enhance the number of millennial leaders:
· Identify Leaders Early
· Bet on the Eager & Willing
· Let Employees Dictate Their Path
· Invest in Training
· Develop Career Planning Goals
· Lead by Example
The desire here is to make cultivating leadership into something more of a norm. We need this to be a long-term goal for the organization to continue to be successful. Having a long-term career planning goal system is definitely a good idea. Three more best practices written by Mazza on Saba.com CITATION Sus15 \l 1033 (Mazza, 2015) are:
· Support and encourage people to lead themselves
· Make bold requests for meaningful results
· Develop partners vs good soldiers
Focusing on the people within the organization and recognizing potential is a great first step. Next, we need to do something about that. We need more millennial leaders because we all do not get any younger. Encouragement goes a long way. Listen to the millennials today in the organization and see where they see themselves in two years. Where do they see themselves in five years? Where potential is observed, promote training, and invest in their future. Investing in their future helps invest in the future of the company. The working environment must be designed to encourage employees to be their best. Employees that wish to lead will usually stand out from the rest. It is up to the leaders of today to help produce the leaders of tomorrow.”
