Illustration is important because it provides a more interesting and diverse portrayal of a specific topic. Without illustration our literature would seem emotionless, bland, and uninteresting. Illustration is a form of expression through words regarding anything and is used throughout many different pieces of literature. In the same way an artist strives to express specific unique details in a piece of art using a variety of textures. An author will strive for the same goal using a variety of descriptive words, sentences, and unique figurative language. Illustration is used throughout many creative aspects in life regardless of the medium. It can be read in about any viewed in literature ranging from children’s books and instruction manuals to Shakespearian poetry and can even be found where it is often unrecognizable such as television shows, cartoons, as well as movies. Prior to the creation of any film, before any cinematic appearance, there is a script that is written. This script is essentially word for word what the creators are trying to convey. If a script is bland with little illustration found; the outcome will be an uninteresting picture that seems to be bland with little emotion
