This assignment will give you additional practice navigating your computer to verify that you have Microsoft Office 2013 installed on your computer and create a hierarchical folder structure for this course. This course is designed for Windows operating system and your computer must have the following four (4) MS Office 2013 installed: Word 2013, Excel 2013, PowerPoint 2013 and Outlook 2013. You will not be able to complete most of the assignments in this course without these applications. You will also create a multi-level folder structure for this course. You will create folders for each week and use these folders to save your assignments throughout the course. Follow these steps to complete the assignment:

  1. Create the file structure using Windows Explorer (Windows 7) or File Explorer (Windows 8). Open Windows Explorer by right-clicking on the Start button located at the bottom left side of the screen and select Open Windows Explorer. On Windows 8, open File Explorer instead.
    1. Create a course folder titled IS 102 on your computer desktop. In the Folders window on the left side of Windows Explorer, click on Desktop. Find a white area on the right side window, right click, select new folder and name it IS 102.
    2. Open the IS 102 folder you just created on the previous step and create eight (8) folders for each week of the course Name the folders Week 1, Week 2, ….Week 8.
