I just need a revision on it, just tweak it a bit! not much to it. ONLY ADDING ON A LITTLE BIT BASED ON INSTRUCTIONS BELOW!
Here’s the directions:
The research proposal will be your self esteem research proposal, with several important additions:
1) IF you did not get a perfect score (25/25), integrate the feedback that I gave on your first proposal — if you didn’t include external citations, do so, if you didn’t discuss study limitations, do so, etc.
2) In addition to the research summary (your updated self esteem research proposal) you will also write a ~250 word abstract which summarizes the research proposal. For examples of what a study abstract looks like, I recommend looking at the articles that were examples in the paper review assignment.
The abstract will be worth 5 points, and must include the following:
An opening sentence that motivates the research question (e.g., “Self-esteem is critically important for the healthy development of Boston Terriers living in Philadelphia.”). 1 point
A sentence that is an overview of the hypothesis. (1 point)
A sentence that summarizes the methods your proposal will use to test your research hypothesis (1 point)
A sentence that summarizes your expected results. (1 point)
A sentence that discusses the implications of your proposed research (e.g., “If found, this would suggest that factors X and Y are meaningful contributors to Boston Terrier self esteem”). (1 point)

Running Head: PSYCHOLOGICAL SCIENCE 1 Hulaymatu Jalloh Part 1: Rationale The main reason behind writing this paper is to try to assess the impact of the available information on Covid-19 to the population. This is because there is a lot of information which is being spread through online platforms and if one does not conduct enough research, they may end up being fed with the wrong information about the disease. The authors believe that the study’s results will portray a certain pattern due to the fear which has resulted from the disease. Part 2: Hypothesis The main hypothesis of this paper is: if people are fed with misinformation, their challenges while facing a problem are likely to increase. The researchers expects that people will increase the fear concerning the Covid-19 pandemic due to the available information. Some might not take time to validate the reliability of the information which will be given to them. Due to this, the samples are likely to portray anxiety on the information that they will receive. Part 3: Method The researchers are testing the hypothesis through truth discernment method. This is when the participants’ scores are assessed, some will have given more truth responses while others will have given more false responses. The person who scores discernment indicates that they are more sensitive to truth than to force information. The samples used for the research included 1,000 participants who were recruited using Lucid. The independent variable in this case is the truth and false information which should be presented to the participants so that to determine whether it is true or false. It is independent because the researcher has the ability to manipulate it so that to assess the outcome of the research process. The dependent variable in the research is the results which will be portrayed by the participants through their score in the truth discernment. The researcher has little ability to control the results that will be given by the respondents. The predictor variable in this case which might influence the expected results is the magnitude of the information that is being shared. If the information creates a psychological impact to the participant, they are likely to pick it regardless of whether it is right on wrong. The outcome variable is how high or low the participant scores in the truth discernment. Part 4: Results The results indicated that discernment is higher for accuracy judgement that when people share intentions. Veracity also portrays a bigger impact on accuracy judgements. Participants were also willing to share headlines that their will to rate the headline to be accurate. Like: The most interesting point about the study design is that the researcher has the ability to manipulate the information being shared to the participant so that to get maximum results. Making changes from time to time creates a change to assess diverse information about the respondents. Dislike: However, there are several other factors which might limit this study design as people are different depending on other surrounding factors. Future research: It is important for researchers to identify the likely course of action that the participant is likely to take after determining whether the shared information is true or false. This involves their psychological way of handling the received information. Example, when using the Covid-19 pandemic as an example, the researcher should try to determine whether the respondent may use this information.
