learning Journal Reflection
Review, reflect, and retrieve the following key chapter topics from
memory and add them to your learning journal. This can take effort and
seem difficult at first. However, effortful reflection and retrieval helps
build learning pathways to more easily find the way to and from your
existing knowledge in long-term memory. Some difficulties encountered
during retrieval help make the learning stronger and better remembered.
Effort changes the brain, making new connections and pathways and
increasing intellectual ability.
For each topic, list a single sentence description/definition. Connect these
ideas to something you might already know from your experience, other
coursework, or a current event. This follows our three-phase learning
approach of 1) Capture, 2) Communicate, and 3) Connect. After
completing, verify your results against your learning journal and ensure
that all topics are included in your learning journal and update as needed.

For part two
search a job site and choose one career example, and include a summary of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the chosen career path. For example, what are the educational requirements, software, systems, and general competencies that are requested for the position? Discuss how these requirements relate to the set of learning goals.
This chosen career example may span any areas of interest in health anamatics, and may be clinical (pharmacy, public health etc.), analytical (data scientist, software analyst, etc.), or administrative (financial, managerial, etc.).
